Pockets, seams, fastenings and linings make it tricky to apply a DTF transfer to a parka. This tutorial shows you how to prepare and position the garment to ensure even pressure, and then check that the print is crisp, precise and long-lasting.
On a technical parka, select a suitable marking area to minimise the impact of pockets, seams and fastenings. Position the garment correctly on the press, then place the transfer to ensure even pressure.
After application, remove the film and check the accuracy of the textile print. The ready-to-apply TopQuadri® DTF transfer enables professionals to personalise their parkas quickly, avoid printing faults caused by uneven thicknesses and ensure a clean, long-lasting result.

FAQ
A parka may be made from polyester or a heat-sensitive water-repellent fabric. Its lining, pockets, seams and various areas of extra thickness also make it difficult to achieve uniform pressure. The TopQuadri® DTF transfer, which is applied at 135 °C, is ideally suited to minimising thermal stress on these technical fabrics.
Choose a flat area, away from pockets, seams and fastenings that might create bulges. Also remember to make use of the access zips often found on parkas. These make it easier to reach the area to be personalised and to position the garment correctly on the press to ensure even pressure.
Start by locating the printing area and any hidden zips, particularly those on the inside pockets. Then use the access zip to position the parka correctly on the press, taking care not to crush the wadding or the lining. Position the DTF transfer, apply it, remove the film and then check that the print is clear.
The TopQuadri® DTF transfer is supplied ready to apply and is suitable for a wide range of textiles and materials. As it is applied at 135 °C, it is particularly well suited to polyester parkas or water-repellent fabrics that require special care with regard to heat. It enables you to produce clear, precise and durable markings quickly.
