Everyone demands social and environmental responsibility, but few brands provide tangible evidence of it.
For this new episode of TH4 Focus, we’re joined by Fabien Dumonal, Country Manager at Fruit of the Loom. The aim? To move beyond the usual slogans and take a closer look at the actual measures being taken by the manufacturer.
Far from being mere greenwashing, the brand demonstrates that taking control of its own value chain leads to measurable progress.
At the heart of Fruit of the Loom’s CSR approach, the group’s Moroccan factory sets the standard, with 90 per cent of its electricity coming from a wind farm.
In terms of resources, the reprocessing of water used in textile production is key: 60 per cent of the water is already reused, with a stated target of exceeding 95 per cent and an active rainwater harvesting programme.
From the renewal of OEKO-TEX certification to the strict amfori BSCI audits, Fabien also explains how the company ensures ethical textile production, safeguarding the health, transport and safety of its staff through its various labels and certifications.
All these guarantees and the zero-waste policy are now set out in a transparency manifesto called The Fruit Way. Find out more about how these commitments are put into practice.
